Your organization gives you the ORI

Organizations join VECHS through FDLE, which assigns them their own ORI. Ask your organization for it before you book.

Some organizations now run VECHS screenings through the state Clearinghouse instead. If yours does, they’ll give you a Livescan Request Form with the ORI on it, and we’ll take your photo along with your prints.

Before your appointment

Sign the VECHS Waiver Agreement and Statement for your organization. They keep the original, and FDLE requires it before you’re fingerprinted. Your organization also gives you a written statement of your privacy rights.

Price

Employees pay $62.25. Volunteers pay $50.25.

After your appointment

FDLE and the FBI send the results to your organization, usually within three business days. VECHS results go to organizations only, never to the person fingerprinted or to us.

Official sources

Agencies change their instructions. If anything here differs from what your agency told you, follow the agency.
