Fingerprinting for AHCA health care screening

You can’t start an AHCA screening yourself. Your employer opens it in the Clearinghouse, which assigns the correct ORI number and produces a Livescan Request Form with the ORI and a screening request ID.

Bring that form to your appointment. If you don’t have it yet, ask your employer before you book.

Bring a valid photo ID and your Livescan Request Form. We capture your fingerprints and a photo, which the Clearinghouse requires, and send both electronically to FDLE.

Ask us for your TCN (transaction control number) before you leave. You can use it to track your submission with FDLE.

FDLE and the FBI return the results to AHCA, which decides eligibility and posts it in the Clearinghouse for your employer. Results never come to us.

Your prints go into Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, which keeps them on file for five years. Another employer regulated by a participating agency can usually review your existing result instead of fingerprinting you again.
